We are already in June. Can you believe that? It’s been a while since we’ve sent an update and there were a few important things that we wanted to mention as we head into June.
Hurricane Season 2024
June 1 is the start of hurricane season. We were fortunate last year. I know some people were significantly impacted by Hurricane Idalia. Overall, though, we had a pretty mild hurricane season. I’m crossing my fingers that we have similar this year, but if the predictions are accurate, it may be a pretty active season. Learn more about the 2024 predictions from NOAA here. Keeping up with Insurance News
I’m often asked how we stay in the loop with all the changes in insurance. It’s not the most exciting thing in the world. Our carriers do send out notices, but one of the most effective ways to stay in the loop is through Lisa Miller’s newsletter. She is plugged in up in Tallahassee and follows insurance legislation and other important insurance news. I’m sure it’s not really interesting for most, but this weeks newsletter did have some interesting info on hurricane season, home insurance rates, and flood insurance that I thought was a little more interesting for the consumer side and wanted to share it. Also, we try to post important updates on our Facebook page, so if you haven’t given us a follow over there, we’d encourage you to.
